💚 A new climate tool to accelerate the green transition

*|MC:SUBJECT|*
Hej,
We were so close to announcing that Spring had sprung in the last newsletter but then Winter hit Stockholm again. We'll hold off for a couple more weeks but at the time of writing this, the sun is actually shining. Anyways, today is all about climate action. We're excited to officially tell you about the transition capability tool we've been working on together with renowned climate researchers Åsa Löfgren and Sverker Jagers. Happy Easter!

A new tool for climate action

The setting of ambitious carbon reduction targets has become standard in large companies, resulting in a proliferation of headline pledges to reach net zero. Despite this, emissions continue to accelerate in the wrong direction. Frustrated by widespread corporate inertia, we teamed up with renowned climate researchers Åsa Löfgren and Sverker Jagers to identify the root causes and create a solution.

The result? A strategic transition tool and framework called TransitionView that, for the first time ever, enables measurability of corporate transition capability.

“TransitionView builds on decades of research in collective action. Through this tool, we have made these insights actionable for companies so they can serve as a guide in corporate climate strategy and decision-making”, say Åsa Löfgren and Sverker Jagers.

How to accelerate corporate transition capability

The remote and in-person participants listening to climate researchers Sverker Jagers and Åsa Löfgren
Dive into the key findings from our Climate Leadership Roundtable on how to accelerate organisations' transition capability. Together with 12 Heads of Sustainability and climate researchers Åsa Löfgren and Sverker Jagers, we discussed some of the climate transition's main blockers and enablers.

The discussion was framed around our transition capability model and most of the comments and thoughts focused on the need for clear and visionary leadership, awareness & mindsets, commitments and increased collaboration — all parts of an organisation's Willingness to transition. Without it, the extent to which resources are organised won't matter.
