Love Letter #13

*|MC:SUBJECT|*
Hej,

It's beginning to look a lot like... Tomorrow Club #4! Our event team have put together something very special this time and you don't want to miss this! We've also been working on a guide for you to ace remote facilitation and run effective and energising meetings as well as workshops. Also, happy Christmas time!
01 Tomorrow Club #4 — Inclusive Design

Who designs today's systems that shape our tomorrow?

As a futures agency with a prototyping mindset, we focus a lot on developing solutions together with, and for, our clients. Solutions for customers, employees, society and so on. What's important is to design something that is needed and will create a positive impact. But for whom? you might wonder. Is it only about creating a positive impact for the end user or for the company or for the environment? And where lies the responsibility? How do we make sure that we design systems and structures today that benefit us tomorrow? And who needs to be involved in order to do so?

Another Tomorrow is happy to invite you to Tomorrow Club #4 with the theme:

Inclusive Design — Who designs today's systems that shape our tomorrow?

Join us for a panel discussion with Charlotte Manning (Global Community Manager, HON), Klara Adolphson (Senior Advisor Leadership, Facilitation, Culture & Change) and Lars Lindwall (Design Lead HUI, NEVS) to deep-dive into designing systems and structures for a tomorrow that we want.

02 How To Ace Remote Facilitation
After running a lot of remote sessions, Communications Manager & Facilitator Linnéa has been putting together a guide for you on how to ace remote facilitation and avoiding Zoom-fatigue and low-energy meetings. You can find the whole article here but let's take a closer look at some of Another Tomorrow's pro tips:

1. Be prepared and confident. There are easy ways to prepare the workshop participants and give them some information and tools to test before-hand. If anyone's having difficulties such as technical issues during the workshop, stay calm and be confident. As long as you're guiding the person through it while supporting them, it'll be fine.

2. Ambition and expectations. Setting an ambition at the beginning of a session will help participants understand what they will learn, be able to do and feel afterwards. It's also a good time to align your set ambition with the group's expectations.

3. Encouragement. One of the hardest nuts to crack is engaging all participants equally. We do it through asking direct questions, anonymous voting and giving a lot of positive feedback. If there's some silent ideating time, we usually play some music and we try and use exercises that trigger play and creativity. For instance, why not let everyone introduce themselves as their favourite superheroes?

Read the whole article here and if you're sitting on any pro tips, reach out to Linnéa. She loves to talk about remote facilitation.

Until next time, stay safe and stay curious!
