Implementing carbon pricing
|
|
Did you know that within the next 2 years, it's expected that 45% of companies will have an internal carbon price implemented? Is your organisation one of these?
During the autumn we'll be bringing you an online, self-paced course, developed together with climate economist Åsa von Ekensteen Löfgren. The aim is to help you and your organisation understand how you can take action on carbon pricing to enable a resilient business, untangling the whats and hows of carbon pricing and actually getting it to work in your organisation.
We'd love it if you could help us make the course as relevant and useful as possible, by filling out this quick survey on what such a course mustn't miss. Whether you already have a carbon price in your organisation, or if you're simply curious about it – we'd love your perspective.

Before the summer, we wrote about the first constitutional climate trial in US history that had then just concluded. While we were away, an equally historical ruling came in.
The ruling – which came during a summer of extreme temperatures, floods, and fires – marks the first time a U.S. court has ruled that "young people have a fundamental right to a climate system that is safe and stable for their lives," according Julia Olson, chief legal counsel for the plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs, aged 5 to 22, successfully argued that Montana's aggressive pursuit of fossil fuel development without considering climate impacts violated the constitution. The judge ruled that the state's prohibition on even considering the long-term impacts of fossil fuel development was "unconstitutional on its face", marking a significant development in climate litigation with global implications.
